Indiana Tech invites applications for a full-time faculty member in Artificial Intelligence (AI) to join the Talwar College of Engineering and Computer Sciences. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the growth of innovative undergraduate and graduate programs while preparing students to become leaders in one of the fastest-growing fields in technology. The successful candidate will possess expertise in artificial intelligence and related disciplines, including machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, natural language processing, foundation models, large language models, and emerging AI methodologies. Preference will be given to candidates who can teach across multiple programs, including artificial intelligence, computer science, computer engineering, cybersecurity, and information systems.


This is a full-time, 12-month teaching faculty position that may be filled as either a tenure-track appointment or at the Professor of Practice rank, depending on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate. Faculty are expected to teach in both face-to-face and online formats while contributing to the ongoing development and continuous improvement of academic programs. Responsibilities include developing new courses and programs, enhancing existing curricula, advising and mentoring students, participating in student recruitment and retention efforts, and collaborating with faculty across disciplines to support interdisciplinary learning opportunities. The successful candidate will also maintain academic records, support accreditation and assessment activities, contribute to ABET-related data collection and continuous improvement initiatives, and engage in professional development and service activities that support the mission and strategic priorities of both the College and the University.


Qualified candidates must possess a master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a closely related field; a terminal degree is preferred. College-level teaching experience and online teaching experience are desirable, along with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences through strong written and oral communication skills. Industry experience in artificial intelligence, machine learning, software development, data science, cybersecurity, or related fields is highly valued, particularly for candidates seeking appointment as a Professor of Practice.
