The MITRE Space Intelligence Systems Department is looking for an Artificial Intelligence Engineering Subject Matter Expert (SME) who wants to drive innovative solutions, thought leadership, and evidence-based recommendations so the Intelligence Community (IC) can deliver the benefits and services our Mission Partners depend on to make a positive impact in the world.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Development of program and technical strategy and execution for the following:
  • Information technology system configuration and architecture subject matter expertise as well as familiarity with technical process, implementation and documentation support the Data Center Management Division as it conducts future forecasting analysis, modernizes the technical processes to conduct modern data center ops and long-term strategic planning.
  • Technical expertise and cross directorate coordination and schedule of TEMS as Data Center Management Division implements strategic plans to transform data center ops and procedures.
  • Special emphasis on technical analysis of IT architecture requirements supporting data center fit out and the migration of mission and COMM systems from legacy data to new modern data center offerings.
  • Codification and documentation of the technical processes and implementation plans to support the stand up of data centers and the migration of systems into data centers.
  • Data analysis of architectures supporting systems operating in data centers
  • Development of technical engineering reports geared for both technical and non-technical audiences / decision makers.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with ability to obtain/maintain Polygraph.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years' experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
  • Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or applicants who are eligible for security clearances.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • This position has an on-site requirement of 5 days a week on-site.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph (highly desired).
  • Knowledge of current commercial cloud and data center technologies and practices.
  • A working understanding of space systems and how they interact with ground systems.

Salary compensation range and midpoint:

$174,000 - $217,500 - $261,000 Annual
