Command and Control (C2) Fielding Site Lead

Position Summary

The Command and Control (C2) Fielding Site Lead serves as the primary on-site lead responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing fielding operations supporting Army Command and Control (C2) infrastructure and transport systems. The Site Lead oversees all fielding activities associated with C2IN, Transport systems, RMD equipment, and Fort Gordon, GA (FGGA) fielding operations.

The Site Lead functions as the primary interface between Government personnel, supported military units, installation representatives, logistics teams, and contractor personnel to ensure successful fielding, installation, accountability, and transition of tactical network and communications equipment.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as the on-site lead for all C2 fielding operations.
  • Coordinate and manage fielding activities for:
    • C2IN systems
    • Transport systems
    • RMD equipment
    • Fort Gordon, GA (FGGA) fielding activities
    • Associated tactical communications and network infrastructure
  • Lead daily fielding operations including:
    • Equipment receipt and inspection
    • Inventory management
    • Equipment staging
    • Installation coordination
    • Property accountability
    • Equipment hand-off and turn-in operations
  • Act as the primary point of contact between supported Army units, Government representatives, logistics personnel, and contractor teams.
  • Manage fielding schedules, milestones, and operational timelines to support mission requirements.
  • Coordinate site preparation activities and ensure operational readiness for fielding events.
  • Ensure compliance with Army supply, logistics, and property accountability procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain fielding documentation including:
    • DA Form 2062
    • DA Form 3161
    • DA Form 1348
    • Equipment inventory reports
    • Shipping and receiving documentation
  • Conduct quality assurance inspections on all fielded equipment and associated components.
  • Coordinate transportation, storage, and movement of tactical communications and network equipment.
  • Supervise fielding personnel and provide leadership, task management, and operational guidance.
  • Track and report fielding status, issues, risks, and completion metrics to Government leadership.
  • Coordinate issue resolution and corrective actions during fielding operations.
  • Ensure fielding operations comply with applicable Army regulations, safety standards, and Command Supply Discipline Program (CSDP) requirements.
  • Support installation, configuration, and transition activities associated with fielded systems and transport infrastructure.
  • Maintain effective communication with military leadership, Government representatives, and supporting organizations throughout all phases of fielding operations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Information Technology, Business Management, Military Science, or related field; or equivalent military experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience supporting Army tactical communications, network infrastructure, or fielding operations.
  • Experience leading or coordinating Army fielding activities at unit or installation level.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance required.
  • Knowledge of Army logistics operations, equipment accountability, and property management procedures.
  • Experience supporting:
    • Tactical network systems
    • Transport infrastructure
    • Communications equipment
    • Fielding and deployment operations
  • Familiarity with Army logistics and accountability systems such as:
    • GCSS-Army
    • DPAS
    • MILSTRIP
    • LMP
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently in fast-paced operational environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior U.S. Army Signal Corps or tactical communications experience.
  • Experience supporting Army network modernization or transport fielding initiatives.
  • Knowledge of:
    • Tactical transport systems
    • Network infrastructure
    • Secure communications equipment
    • Network integration procedures
  • Experience supporting fielding operations in CONUS and OCONUS environments.
  • PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or logistics certification preferred.

Work Environment and Travel

  • Extensive travel required (up to 75-90%) in support of Army fielding missions.
  • Work performed in warehouse, installation, office, and field environments.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds.
  • May require extended Temporary Duty (TDY) assignments.
