Job description

Universal Technical Resource Services, Inc. (UTRS) is currently seeking a Logistics Supply Specialist to join our team! At UTRS, we enjoy the benefits of working in a collaborative environment of close-knit team members. We are looking for someone that will support our mission to consistently deliver creative, high-quality, technology-based services to our customers on time and within budget.

This position will be a full-time position available, in Picatinny Arsenal, for a Logistics Supply Specialist with Army supply background (92Y or 91A). This role requires an individual to be familiar with Army supply forms and regulations, issuing equipment, turning in equipment, inventory process, creating sub-hand receipts, and prepping equipment for turn-in.


What will you be doing?

This position will be a key member of DEVCOM AC.


Duties include:


  • Responsible for performing duties involving the request, receipt, storage, issue, accountability, and preservation of individual, organizational, installation, and expendable supplies and equipment.
  • Supply Operations & Handling: Receives, inspects, inventories, loads, unloads, segregates, stores, issues, delivers, and turns in organizational and installation supplies and equipment.
  • Documentation & Automation: Prepares all unit- and organizational-level supply documents and operates unit-level computers (ULC) to maintain automated supply systems for accounting. These systems include but are not limited to GCSS (G-Army), AESIP, DLA, SAP, MS Excel, Adobe forms and similar database systems. The individual will need to be familiar with Army Logistics Systems (ALS), supply form, and supply regulations.
  • Records Maintenance: Prepares and maintains physical and digital organizational supply records, forms, and files with great attention to detail for serial #s, quantities, and condition of supplies / equipment.
  • Physical Demands: Routinely lifts, lowers, and carry heavy equipment (less than 50 lbs.) (such as weapons cases, cases of paper, IT equipment, and supply totes) while wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Technical Guidance & Leadership: Provides guidance to customers and users to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance on supply operations.
  • Inspections & Quality Control: Inspects completed work for compliance with established procedures and coordinates unit supply activities. Double checks their own work for accuracy and works closely with other supply staff to act as another set of eyes on audits and transfers of high value equipment and non-expendable supplies.
  • Command Advisory: Actively assists, coordinates with, and advises the unit Supply Officer (S4) and the Unit Commander on all logistics and property posture matters
  • Operate 4,000lb capacity forklift to conduct warehouse operations and load transport trucks.
  • Army or Military experience in supply roles preferred.

This position will require the following skillsets and experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in logistics or supply chain management are a plus.
  • Experience working with GCSS Army or similar logistics systems a plus.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other database / inventory software.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (OSHA limits) as required in a warehouse environment.
  • Must be US Citizen.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and inventory management.
  • Problem-solving skills to address logistical challenges.
  • Ability to safely work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong time management and multitasking abilities.


What is the work environment like?


  • This position is based in a warehouse setting and may require physical labor, including lifting and moving materials. The role may also involve occasional travel to support logistics operations and office-based work.
