Job description

Responsible for the day-to-day running of the front desk reception, including ensuring all issues raised by residents and visitors is handled promptly, responding to telephone calls, resident questions, check-ins, and check-outs, Also, handling other clerical tasks. The ability to work flexible hours (e.g., Weekends and Holidays).


  • Undertake front desk daily duties.
  • Keep records of arrivals and departure of residents
  • Attend to residents needs and concerns in a friendly and cordial manner.
  • Ensure that residents follow all in-house rules and policies.
  • Ensure all visitors (family, friends, and delivery persons.) and all non-Salvation Army/Sodexo employees working in building sign in/out and provide them with a visitor’s pass, visitors are to be politely challenged as to the reason for entering the residence.
  • Assist the Admissions department as needed, as agreed by Director of Operations
  • Assist with creating photo IDs for all new residents and verify Markle resident IDs.
  • Monitor security video cameras and reports to administration unusual activities.
  • Process payments for fees.
  • Answer calls in a polite, friendly manner and forward calls or take messages as needed.
  • Accept packages and faxes and sort out daily mail.
  • Be aware and sensitive to the cultural and social population served.
  • Contact and inform the maintenance department of the floor number when the fire alarm rings.
  • Maintain log for borrowed resident keys.
  • Handling application and other clerical tasks.
  • Assist with room inspections as needed for current residents and incoming residents.
  • Monitor RDP database.
  • Maintain log for keys.
  • Assist with preparation of welcome packages for all arriving guests as needed.
  • Supervise security guards.
  • Monitor use of the fitness center including securing and processing approved “Informed Consent and Waiver of Liability” for residents participating in the fitness activities and program using the fitness room.
  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the Salvation Army administration.

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal)
  • Good Computer Skills (Microsoft Office)
