Actual offers may differ based on experience, market conditions, and other relevant factors. The range does not include additional compensation such as bonuses, equity, benefits, or other incentives.
Who we need
Reporting to the Head of the Client Enablement Group, we are hiring a Technical Manager to lead a highly specialized development function supporting global enterprise clients using ARGUS and Altus Software solutions. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives at the intersection of people leadership, AI-first engineering, client delivery, and technical architecture. You will oversee a team of senior developers across North America and India while partnering closely with Architecture, Security, Product, and Client Success teams to design and deliver scalable integration solutions, custom tools, reporting capabilities, and automation workflows for some of the world's largest real estate investors, banks, and financial institutions.
This is a remote position with the expectation that you can attend in-person meetings and team gatherings at one of our North American offices as required.
What's in it for you
Impact and influence. You will lead the modernization of Integration Services within a global industry leader. This is an opportunity to bring structure, governance, AI-first thinking, and scalable engineering practices into a team responsible for delivering the "last mile" customizations and integrations that enterprise clients rely on every day. Your work will directly influence solution quality, delivery consistency, and the evolution of development standards across the team.
AI-first engineering environment. Altus is deeply invested in AI-enabled software development and automation. You will work in an environment where AI tooling, agentic workflows, cloud-based architecture, and automation are part of the development culture rather than future aspirations. This is an opportunity to work with modern engineering approaches while helping shape how AI-powered development practices are implemented across client-facing services and integrations.
Stability, collaboration, and growth. You will join a highly collaborative team with exceptional tenure and deep domain expertise. The group operates with the agility of a smaller engineering organization while benefiting from the scale and resources of a global company. Beyond the immediate role, there is potential to grow into broader product engineering, architecture, or software leadership opportunities within Altus.
As our new Technical Manager, Client Enablement, you will:
  • Lead the Integration Services and development function. You will oversee a team of developers and integration specialists responsible for delivering custom solutions, integrations, reporting capabilities, automation workflows, and technical enhancements that extend the capabilities of Altus Software for enterprise clients.
  • Partner across the business and with enterprise clients. You will work closely with Architecture, Security, Product, Client Success, and Consulting teams while serving as a trusted technical partner to some of the world's largest real estate investors, banks, and financial institutions. You will translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and help clients navigate complex integration and workflow challenges.
  • Drive engineering discipline and operational governance. You will establish stronger development standards, testing frameworks, architectural documentation practices, code review processes, and delivery governance across the team, bringing greater structure, consistency, and scalability to how solutions are designed and implemented.
  • Lead and mentor a distributed technical team. You will provide leadership, coaching, and direction to a team of North American and offshore developers and testers, supporting technical growth, collaboration, accountability, and high-quality delivery across a fast-moving consulting environment.
  • Strengthen solution architecture and delivery practices. You will contribute to integration frameworks, reusable solution templates, coding standards, and deployment practices while ensuring projects align with approved architecture patterns, security requirements, and long-term platform strategy.
  • Support AI-first engineering and modernization initiatives. You will help identify opportunities to leverage AI-powered automation, agentic workflows, and modern engineering approaches to improve delivery efficiency, scalability, and operational effectiveness across the Integration Services function.
  • Remain hands-on technically. You will contribute directly to solution design, coding, troubleshooting, technical reviews, and architectural discussions, balancing leadership responsibilities with active participation in complex technical delivery work.
  • Collaborate across architecture and technology teams. You will work closely with enterprise architecture, security, infrastructure, and product engineering teams to ensure custom solutions and integrations align with broader technology standards, governance expectations, and evolving platform capabilities.
  • Act as a visible and trusted technical leader. You will bring clarity, structure, and forward-thinking leadership to a highly specialized and evolving function, helping modernize engineering practices while supporting a stable, collaborative, and long-tenured team environment.

You bring:
  • The technical leadership experience. You have led software engineering, integration services, enterprise platforms, or client-facing technical delivery teams within a complex SaaS, enterprise software, or technology environment. You understand how to balance people leadership, delivery oversight, architectural governance, and hands-on technical contribution while supporting critical business and client outcomes.
  • The AI-first engineering mindset. You bring hands-on experience with modern AI-enabled development practices and understand how AI-powered automation, agentic workflows, and emerging engineering tools can improve scalability, efficiency, and delivery quality. You are excited by the opportunity to help shape and mature AI-first engineering practices within a client-facing technical environment.
  • The software engineering and integration expertise. You have strong experience working across enterprise integrations, APIs, cloud platforms, automation workflows, databases, and scalable software delivery practices. Exposure to technologies such as C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL, Azure services, CI/CD tooling, and cloud-based architecture is highly valued. Experience supporting SaaS platforms, enterprise systems, financial platforms, or real estate technology environments is considered an asset.
  • The stakeholder management and communication skills. You are comfortable partnering with enterprise clients, business leaders, architects, developers, and cross-functional technology teams. You can translate complex technical concepts into practical business language, build credibility across technical and non-technical audiences, and navigate competing priorities within fast-moving delivery environments.
  • The architectural and governance mindset. You have experience introducing stronger engineering discipline, development standards, delivery governance, and scalable technical processes within evolving teams. You understand how to balance technical quality, operational realities, security requirements, and delivery timelines while improving consistency and long-term maintainability.
  • The people leadership capabilities. You have experience leading and mentoring technical teams, including coaching, performance management, technical development, and fostering accountability within collaborative environments. You can guide teams through change while helping establish stronger ways of working and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • The adaptability and modernization focus. You are energized by complex technical challenges and evolving technology landscapes. You enjoy working across legacy and modern systems, introducing scalable improvements, and helping organizations modernize how solutions are designed, delivered, and supported.
  • The ownership mindset and business acumen. You are someone who takes initiative, drives clarity, and follows through. You can assess risk, prioritize effectively, and make informed decisions while balancing client expectations, operational demands, and long-term technical strategy.
