We are currently seeking an Area Supervisor / Area Manager for our Carthage, TX office.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

This position is accountable for leading a team of employees that are responsible for the Compression, Pipeline, Corrosion, and Measurement operations and maintenance (O&M) activities associated with compliance according to DOT 192, TX State Oil and Gas Board, EPA / DEQ, OSHA regulations, and Inter-Company / Industry related policies and procedures at Carthage Compressor and Pipeline facilities. The areas of operation include natural gas reciprocating compression equipment and natural gas pipeline assets.

Responsibilities include ensuring: 1) the safe and reliable operation of compressor, pipeline, corrosion, and measurement facilities, and 2) the reliable, effective, and efficient performance of personnel as related to O&M activities associated with maintaining compliance according to the aforementioned regulations, policies, and/or procedures. This position also includes managing the local control room and the shift employees associated with the facilities if applicable. Duties include, but are not limited to; working with Area Personnel, Operations Support, Engineering, Construction and other area Leaders to ensure efficient performance of all facilities, developing/training employees, managing shift work schedules, overseeing and pursuing excellence in the company’s safety program, responding to emergency situations, ensuring gas quality, coordinating shut-downs through Gas Control, working with the legal department, working with the ROW group regarding new or proposed easements, property owner complaints and lease renewals.

Position will be filled as an Area Supervisor commensurate with experience. The successful Candidate will be required to report and office at Carthage CS and pipeline office in Carthage, Texas.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Five to Ten years’ experience in the natural gas compression and storage industry
  • Three to Five years’ experience in a supervisor position in the natural gas industry or equivalent industry
  • Familiar with DOT 192 regulations and natural gas pipeline operations
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, leadership, and strong computer skills along with economic and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to read and implement the O&M manual and the ability to read drawings, alignment sheets, and valve maps.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment and maintain good working relationships with governmental and customer counterparts. Also required, is self-motivation, a commitment to and strong advocate of personal and team safety, along with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to manage multiple situations simultaneously.
  • Ability to work in extreme weather and noise conditions and the ability to stand for long durations.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record

PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Leadership experience in Field Operations
  • 10 (+) years of pipeline operations and maintenance experience associated with underground storage facilities.
  • 10+ years of pipeline operations and maintenance experience and 5+ years of reciprocating compressor & turbine operations and maintenance experience

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree
