Position Overview

This position is tasked with performing the daily operational practices of running the car wash facility and providing excellent customer service. This position is responsible for implementing workflow procedures based on direction from the Site Manager. Their duties include supervising employees during day-to-day tasks, providing customer support in escalated situations and managing the overall workflow of a workplace.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and coordinate meetings.
  • Conduct employee performance reviews.
  • Develop good customer relationships.
  • Participate in recruitment and dismissal processes.
  • Smooth out problems within the workplace.
  • Address employee and customer concerns.
  • Develop strategies for better workplace efficiency and goal achievement.ย 
  • Email and phone correspondence.
  • Liaise between managers, customers and employees.
  • Provide direction to staff.
  • Monitor spending patterns and budget.
  • Fill in for Sitel Manager (GM) in times of absence. Make executive decisions, hold meetings and provide accountability.
  • Organizing shift schedules for team members
  • Monitoring attendance, tardiness and time off
  • Assigning duties to specific employees based on role and skills
  • Supervising employees and assisting with tasks as necessary
  • Managing employeesโ€™ requests and transgressions
  • Training new and current team members on tasks
  • Handling customer issues and managing conflicts
  • Adhering to company policies and health, safety and employment standards
  • Balancing cash drawers and preparing cash deposits
  • Performs all other duties as requested

Additional Tasks:

  • Greet customers courteously and explain available wash services to them; take and process wash payments to the satisfaction of customers and car wash
  • Perform cleaning of facility and ensure everything is kept in the appropriate place and organized (water hoses, nozzles, brushes, soap buckets, broom, hand tools, pressure washer, and grease gun)
  • Provide assistance to customers in any area concerning car wash process
  • Move or direct cars into the express wash tunnel with a pleasant, focused, and competent attitude
  • Points to directional sign; neutral, no-brake, no steering while watching the customer to ensure directions are followed.
  • Smiles at customer and does thumbs up after guest is in neutral with no brakes
  • Carry out visual inspection of vehicles to confirm their condition before sending them into the wash area
  • Ensure company policies and safety procedures are adhered to in carrying out given tasks daily
  • Ensure vacuums are unclogged, trash cans emptied, and hoses properly hung
  • With a sense of urgency, ensure the right thing is done at the right time with customers, home office, and fellow teammates.
