Job Description

We are looking for a Manager Area Operations & Safety to join our Rexel team in Fayetteville, AR!

Summary:
The Manager Area Operations & Safety is responsible for overseeing the operations of more than one branch within a defined geographic area. This includes daily branch activity, logistics, safety, profit and loss (P&L) management, resource management, process adherence, and identifying improvement opportunities.
What You'll Do:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day operational activities for multiple branch locations within a defined area
  • Work with branch managers to establish the budget for the general operations and office activities and strives to maintain costs within that budget
  • Develop and recommend specific short and long term objectives for the branch operations and office administration
  • Implement business strategies set forth by senior management as well as reviews and implements company and department procedures
  • Review and audit various reports and information such as direct billing edit report, customer credits, customer invoices, and vendor credit listings to ensure accuracy and to verify that appropriate actions are being taken
  • Authorize all credits issued to customers including assigning reason codes and deciding if returned goods should be added to inventory, answers questions regarding orders placed through electronic data interchange and investigates and resolves pricing problems and discrepancies as well as processes customer invoices that are exceptions to routine invoicing procedures
  • Communicate with the appropriate buyer, when necessary, to resolve issues regarding past due credit
  • Oversee facilities maintenance including communicating with landlords when necessary. Ensure maintenance of office equipment such as copying, fax and telephone equipment as well as purchases and maintains inventory of office supplies
  • Participate in various committees and task forces and participates in improving the business by offering potential alternatives to existing methods
  • Organize, oversee, and participates in the year-end inventory
  • Other duties as assigned
