Overview

Position Title: Area Manager - National Capital HQ Division

 

Compensation: $60,000 - $65,000 (salary) plus signing bonus of $2,500

 

Benefits: Competitive salary plus commission, company car, 401k, medical and dental insurance, the opportunity for advancement, tuition reimbursement, paid training, paid membership for professional associations (i.e., ASIS International), and the company pays for testing fees for professional certifications (CPP, PSP, APP, CSSM, AEM, CEM).

 

Bonus: Discretionary bonus. Factors include growth in revenue, hours, net profit, and meeting company goals.

 

Reports to: Director of Operations and Branch Manager

 

Work Setting: In office (NOT remote)

 

Position Summary: The Area Manager is responsible for working with the Director of Operations and Branch Manager to ensure contract deliverables are met. The Area Manager for assigned area and/or accounts must be knowledgeable of all company policies and procedures as well as contract terms and deliverables.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the delivery of services through team and fill in for the Operations Manager in their absence.
  • Work with assigned personnel to ensure that all contractually scheduled hours are covered with properly trained personnel with a minimum of unbilled overtime and non-billed hours.
  • Coach, counsel, and develop assigned personnel.
  • Serve as a point of contact for clients and employees.
  • Provide prompt response to problems and complaints.
  • Ensure post orders and related administrative documents are properly created, maintained, and updated in accordance with company requirements.
  • Effectively utilize TrackTik or similar system to manage site operations, ensure satisfactory job performance by site teams and implement quality assurance measures.
  • Maintain required company documentation.
  • Assist with new account start-ups, special projects, and extra coverage.
  • Ensure employees at all levels are trained in accordance with company standards, contract requirements, and licensing authority requirements. Conduct follow-up training as needed.
  • Conduct site inspections and conduct monthly afterhours and weekend site visits at an interval determined by the company.
  • Ensure proper use, and maintenance of relevant equipment used at job sites (keys/key cards, cell phones, radios, wands, etc.).
  • Ensure the prompt and accurate completion of payroll.
  • Assist with security, safety, and other investigations.
  • Assist with hiring process, including conducting interviews.
  • Ensure prompt notification of all stakeholders including regional, division, corporate and clients during critical or significant incidents in accordance with company rules, regulations, procedures and policies.
  • Issue uniforms and equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be flexible as position is on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
  • Must attended and successfully passed Company Leadership training.
  • Previous security, military and/or law enforcement supervisory experience required. A College degree may account for of the experience qualification.
  • Detail oriented
  • Internal candidates must have an exemplary performance and attendance record with NO disciplinary action within a year of applying for this position.
  • Exceptional customer service, written and oral communication skills. Good presentation skills preferred.
  • Must be able to multitask.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft office products and be able to operate and maintain site specific security programs.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Position requires work both inside and outside in varying temperatures. This position requires standing for prolonged periods of time, walking, bending and some lifting.
