Position Summary: Responsible for leading our sales planning team as well as managing regional business managers. This person will be a key liaison between the field sales team, marketing and operations to ensure strong communication of Gorton's sales and marketing strategies. They will also help manage sales agent partnerships, shape sales strategies, and drive strong execution in the marketplace.
What you'll do:
  • Profit and Volume Growth - shape and lead the strategic direction needed to deliver the company's sales volume and profit objectives by helping to set priorities, aligning resources, identifying growth opportunities, and guiding execution across regions, customers, and sales agents.
  • People Development - lead, coach, and develop members of the sales planning team and regional business manager(s) reporting to you by setting clear expectations, providing regular feedback, building capabilities, and supporting career growth to strengthen individual and team performance.
  • Sales Agent Management - manage senior level sales agent and broker relationships by setting clear expectations, aligning priorities, monitoring performance, providing direction and feedback, and ensuring strong execution of company sales strategies across the marketplace.
  • Position Location: Gorton's Main Office, Gloucester, MA

What you'll need:
  • 10-15 years of successful CPG customer and people management experience
  • Experience working in a corporate headquarter role
  • Can demonstrate they have successfully worked cross functionally within an organization
  • Have experience engaging and motivating sales agents at the senior levels
  • Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills
  • Experience using third-party syndicated data (Circana/ Nielsen) to build compelling and motivating sales stories
  • Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
  • Assertive self-starter with ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to recognize business building opportunities and design creative programs to capture them
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree education
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%

Pay Range: $160,000 - $195,000/Annual
