Position Overview

Description of Responsibilities

• Conduct a comprehensive range of ultrasound examinations including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety throughout the procedures, elucidating each stage with an empathetic approach
• Engage closely with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure high-quality diagnostic imaging results
• Operate and maintain sophisticated imaging equipment, promptly addressing any technical issues
• Accurately maintain patient records and document procedures within the electronic medical system
• Keep current with advancements in ultrasound imaging practices and technologies

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field
• Preference for completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program

Certifications Required

• Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or an equivalent credential
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred

Skills Needed

• Proficient in sonographic imaging techniques and adept at patient positioning
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
