Job Summary
The Senior Construction Administrator leads and supports the construction administration phase of medium to large-scale projects. This role serves as the primary on-site representative during construction , providing technical oversight, coordinating project stakeholders, reviewing construction documentation, and ensuring projects are executed in accordance with contract documents, codes, and quality standards. The Senior Construction Administrator works closely with clients, contractors, consultants, and internal project teams to proactively resolve issues, mitigate risk, and support successful project delivery.
The position is located in our Los Angeles, CA office. The regular work schedule is Monday through Thursday 7:30AM to 5:30PM and Friday from 7:30AM to 4:30PM and alternating Fridays off. You will have the opportunity to work remote Mondays and Fridays and will be required to come into the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Responsibilities
  • Lead construction administration efforts throughout the construction lifecycle.
  • Review and manage submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, change orders, and pay applications.
  • Conduct site visits and field observations to ensure quality, compliance, and adherence to design intent.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, and agencies to resolve project issues and maintain progress.
  • Evaluate construction costs, change requests, and value engineering opportunities.
  • Track project issues through resolution and support successful project closeout.
  • Serve as a primary client contact during construction and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 10+ years of experience in architecture, construction administration, construction management, or a related discipline.
  • Licensed Architect preferred, preferably in California.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, contract administration, building codes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience reviewing construction documents, submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive projects to successful completion.

The salary range for this position is $105,682 - $158,086 annually.
The actual salary offered for this position will vary depending on multiple factors including the candidate's qualification, education, position knowledge, work experience, skills, ability, work location, and internal incumbent compensation for similar roles. We do not anticipate individuals hired into this position will start at or near the top half of the range listed; the decision will be based on each individual case. The salary range listed above does not include other compensation elements such as discretionary bonus opportunities, employee stock ownership grants, paid time off, medical insurance, and other wage and benefit opportunities.
