We are looking to hire an Architect to support our growing team! Ideal candidates will be licensed Architects who have a passion for the construction industry and enjoy selling quality projects. Our Architects are part of the sales process assisting our Commercial Project Managers through the design aspect of the project. Your ability to communicate design concepts clearly and persuasively will help us engage with clients, ensuring their visions come to light! This position includes full-time employment, complete with a highly competitive compensation and benefits package in our Employee-Owned Company.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assist the Sales/Project Management team in acquiring new customers and related projects for design and construction
  • Develop architectural plans, specifications, and drawings
  • Present design proposals to clients and stakeholders
  • Specifically perform architectural duties of programming, schematic design and design development as the Architect and direct the production of construction documentation by Architectural staff
  • Assist in selecting and specifying exterior finish requirements
  • Collaborate with the Interior Design team for interior material and spatial design
  • Evaluate building designs for compliance with the International Building Code and all referenced codes
  • Collaborate on civil design efforts of building location, circulation, wayfinding, and landscaping
  • Communicate and collaborate with the architectural and construction teams to look for creative and innovative ways to reach the goals for the company
  • Communicate with A&E forms
  • Review redlined drawings for compliance
  • Code research

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture - Required
  • Licensed Architect - Required
  • Minimum of 5-7 years in the construction industry - Preferred
  • Experience working in Revit
  • Great with written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have valid driver's license
  • Communicate well with outside customers and subcontractors as well as all levels of internal management and coworkers
  • Balance demand and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter who is accountable for results
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must possess knowledge of standard commercial construction practices
