We are hiring a Clinical Counselor for our growing team! The Clinical Counselor is a vital component in the rehabilitation process. They are responsible for monitoring the safety and well-being of clients.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducts direct clinical services such as groups, individual and or family therapy with clients on the importance of continued absence from all mood-altering substances
  • Participant of interdisciplinary team
  • Responsible for the construction of individualized treatment plans for all clients
  • Meet a minimum requirement of twenty six hours of direct client care.
  • Maintain a respectful relationship with clients
  • Always maintain confidentiality displaying a professional disposition towards fellow staff
  • Complete all documentation by end of business day
  • Meet all billing requirements
  • Participate in staff and state regulatory training as required
  • Adhere to program policies and procedures while maintaining a professional code of ethics
  • Maintain a valid driver's license
  • The Clinical Counselor is expected to protect the privacy of all client information in accordance with Addiction Recovery Care, LLC/ Odyssey, Inc.'s privacy policies, procedures, and practices, as required by federal and state law, and in accordance with the general principle of professionalism as a healthcare provider.

Key Experience and Education Needed:
  • Bachelor of Arts Degree
  • Master's Degree in Counseling or Social Work preferred
  • Licensed and/or Credentialed Counselor
  • Experience delivering lectures on addiction and conducting group sessions.
  • Substance abuse experience preferred.
  • Appropriate State and Federal Clearances

Other Qualifications to be Considered:
  • Knowledge and understanding of recovery principles and recovery driven service system
  • Knowledge of community health resources that support life improvement in physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health, economic security, employment, positive social and family interdependence, and positive cultural identity
  • Knowledge of 12-Step Recovery Program
  • Knowledge of the physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual impact of alcohol and other drugs on the individual and family
  • Knowledge of Federal, State, and Municipal laws and/or regulations that regulate the treatment of alcoholism and drug addiction
  • Knowledge and competency in problem-solving, stress management, ethics, and team building
  • Knowledge of ASAM dimensions
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle crisis situations in a calm and supportive manner
  • Ability to interact with a multidisciplinary team to assist in facets of the recovery program relating to physical health
  • Ability to coordinate and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize work- and work-related responsibilities
  • Ability to exhibit professional and courteous behavior, consistent with the ARC mission statement, when interacting with persons of varying backgrounds and education levels to create a safe and healthy relationship with clients served
