Job description

Job Title:  Aquatopia Public Area Attendant

Department: Housekeeping

Reports to: Public Area Attendant Supervisor

As an Aquatopia Public Area Attendant, you'll be the behind-the-scenes hero helping keep the indoor waterpark sparkling! From pool decks to seating areas and locker rooms, you'll help ensure every guest enjoys a clean, safe, and welcoming environment while they splash, relax, and play.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Smile and create a fun, energetic, and welcoming environment for all guests.
  • Thoroughly clean using approved cleaning agents and equipment.
  • Sweep and mop pool decks, locker rooms, and public restrooms.
  • Maintain cleanliness of high-traffic areas including seating areas, walkways, and attraction surroundings.
  • Empty trash and ensure all areas remain clean, safe, and guest-ready throughout the day.
  • Clear debris and frequently sanitize surfaces in high-touch areas.
  • Perform power washing of pool decks and waterpark surfaces to maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Assist with upkeep of pool deck areas and surrounding spaces (non-lifeguard duties).
  • Ensure locker rooms, changing areas, and restrooms are clean, stocked, and well-maintained.
  • Monitor for spills, hazards, or unsafe conditions and address them immediately.
  • Keep passkey or master key secure and return to the Security Office at the end of every shift.
  • Report maintenance issues and lost & found items to Resort Appearance Supervisor.
  • Respond quickly and efficiently to all guest requests.
  • Provide directions, assistance, and general information to guests.
  • Support guest and team safety in emergency situations.
  • Other tasks/duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to work in a warm, humid indoor waterpark environment for extended periods.
  • Ability to carry up to 50lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
  • Strong attention to details and proactive work ethic
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of our guests.
  • Commitment to cleanliness, safety, and guest experience in a high-traffic environment.
  • Comfortable working around water, crowds, and active guest areas.
  • Must be able to speak and read the English language, additional languages a plus.
