Job Title: Director, Retail Events - YSL/Prada/Miu Miu
Division: L'OREAL Luxe
Reports to: AVP, Education, Artistry + Events

What You Will Do
The Director of Retail Events, YSL/Prada/Miu Miu will be responsible for coordinating and animating business unit activations across multiple categories and retailers. They will develop and implement a winning retail event strategy that aligns with the brand vision and retail-driving priorities. This role requires a passionate, visionary, and highly skilled leader who possesses:
  • Stewardship of the Business Unit Brands:Being able to deliver elevated retail events, respecting each brand's DNA, heritage, and unique aesthetics, while delivering strong results.
  • Strategic Vision: Deep expertise and a proven ability to design and deliver highly engaging, event strategy across array of retail environments
  • Advocacy & Engagement: Responsibility for driving deep brand engagement at POS, managing the retail event budget, and collaborating cross-functionally

Key Accountabilities
  • Translate brand strategy into into business-driving retail events and initiatives; develop best-in-class event programming across highly visible, multi-axe, multi-brand business unit.
  • Develop event guidelines to optimize in-store visibility while adhering to brand codes and enhancing the shopper experience.
  • Lead the conceptualization and execution of major retail activations, ensuring each phase from planning to execution is handled with attention to detail and creativity.
  • Responsible for completion of all retailer event intake forms and development, tracking, and optimization of event budgets
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of retail events and and identify areas for improvement.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Field and Retailer teams to align all event initiatives with product launch calendars and overarching commercial strategies. Manage production agency partners and event vendors.

Required Competencies and Interpersonal Skills
  • Experience & Expertise: 10+ years of progressive experience in luxury beauty education, artistry, or brand management. Considered a recognized discipline expert within the industry.

  • Problem Solving: Proven ability to solve unique, complex problems that have a broad impact on the business, leveraging existing methodologies and functional knowledge to lead others.
  • Industry Influence: Capable of setting operational standards around which others operate within the educational and artistry field.
  • Leadership & Project Management: Demonstrated success leading major programs, complex projects, and diverse, multi-functional teams. May lead programs/multiple projects and/or diverse functional teams
  • Expert Communication: Outstanding communication skills, ability to present to large audiences, corporate retailers, and senior executives.
  • Business Acumen: Strong organizational skills, time management, and a track record of managing budgets and resources effectively.
  • Technical Proficiency: Mastery of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
