Job description

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Operations Manager - Florida will oversee service operations, manage field technicians, support installations, and serve as a trusted advisor to our clients. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring operational excellence while also helping grow existing accounts through service expansion, equipment upgrades, and automation solutions. The ideal candidate has strong experience in commercial or heavy residential pool operations, enjoys working with people, and is comfortable interacting directly with clients and property teams.
The position is based in Orlando, Florida, with travel throughout the state as needed.
Key Responsibilities Include:
  1. Operations Leadership
    • Lead and manage field technicians and service teams across Florida
    • Coordinate service schedules, preventative maintenance programs, and emergency response
    • Ensure high service quality standards and operational consistency
    • Train and mentor technicians on water chemistry, equipment, and operational best practices
    • Monitor operational performance and ensure service excellence
  2. Client & Account Management
    • Serve as the primary operational contact for key clients including hotels, resorts, multifamily properties, and commercial facilities
    • Conduct property walkthroughs and operational reviews with engineering and facility teams
    • Maintain strong relationships with property managers, engineers, and ownership groups
    • Ensure client satisfaction and long-term retention
  3. Account Growth & Upselling
    • Identify opportunities to improve client aquatic operations through:
    • Automation systems
    • Chemical dosing systems
    • Monitoring platforms
    • Equipment upgrades
    • Expanded service programs
    • Work with leadership to develop proposals and service expansions
    • Support the growth of existing accounts by delivering value and operational expertise
  4. Project Management
    • Oversee installation projects for monitoring systems, chemical controllers, and automation equipment
    • Coordinate technicians, vendors, and property teams during installations
    • Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and at high quality standards
  5. Water Quality & Compliance
    • Ensure proper water chemistry and operational standards across serviced facilities
    • Support troubleshooting of water quality issues and equipment performance
    • Ensure compliance with Florida aquatic health regulations

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Strong knowledge of pool equipment, water chemistry, and aquatic systems
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to use technology and software systems with ease
  • Proficient in GSuite and MS Office as well as routing software and CRM systems
  • Ability to communicate fluently in both written and verbal English. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus!
  • Must possess a valid driver's license that has been valid for at least the last 2 years
  • Must be based in Orlando, Florida metro
  • Ability to travel throughout Florida as needed

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for managing field technicians in the territory

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • 5+ years experience in commercial (preferred) or heavy residential pool operations
  • Experience managing field technicians or service teams
  • Experience managing service routes, maintenance programs, or installations
  • Experience in client-facing roles or account management
  • Experience identifying upsell or service expansion opportunities
  • CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification or ability to certify within 30 days of hire
  • Experience working with hospitality and multifamily properties preferred
  • Experience presenting operational recommendations to clients
