The Attractions Manager - Aquatics is a full-time job that manages the day-to-day operation of the Splashin' Safari Attractions team. With a focus on the overall safety of our Team Members and Guests, this manager ensures all Splashin' Safari attractions and pools are operated in a safe and compliant manner. The Attractions Manager is a leadership position, primarily overseeing Slide Attendants and Lifeguards. This manager prioritizes safety while working to maintain overall attraction efficiency and may also be expected to support and manage the Holiday World Theme Park as needed.

Work Requirements
  • Ability to operate all attractions at Holiday World & Splashin' Safari
  • Work safely and comply with all company attraction rules and policies, State of Indiana amusement attraction rules and regulations, labor laws, local/state Health Department, 3rd party agencies and OSHA
  • Assist the Director of Attractions with company policies and supervision of seasonal employees including:
  1. Enforcing all safety rules
  2. Evaluating staffing levels throughout the day to ensure coverage that best serves our Guests
  3. Scheduling employees within labor laws and budgeting constraints and validating seasonal timecards for accuracy
  4. Improving or maintaining capacity standards
  5. Constantly evaluating work performance and coaching employees as needed
  6. Enforcing Holiday World & Splashin' Safari core values and standards, such as uniform and appearance standards.
  • Assist the Director of Attractions in interviewing, hiring, and training seasonal employees
  • Work closely with the Director of Attractions to create, implement, and update attraction training documents such as Attraction Manuals, Attraction Addendums, Attraction tests, audits, certifications, and in-service
  • Verify proper completion of departmental documentation and testing such as Daily Attraction Reports, Attraction Logs, training documentation, schedule changes, daily Downtime reports and Rides per Guest (RPG) reports.
  • Support overall departmental goals, including operations for Happy Halloween Weekends, Special Events, and Media Events
  • Maintain equipment and report repair needs
  • Assist Guests and employees before and during after-hour events, especially Coaster Events and employee activities.
  • Assume Manager-On-Duty (MOD) responsibilities on a rotating basis.
  • Maintain Mobaro operations and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in business management, hospitality, or a related discipline. Relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 3-5 years of theme park attractions or related experience with 1-3 years of management experience preferred
  • Prior experience in the amusement/theme park or high-volume multi-unit entertainment industry is preferred.
  • Gain the appropriate knowledge, training, and certifications in the Attractions field:
  1. Lifeguard certification or willing to pursue and complete within 1 year
  2. Lifeguard Instructor certification or willing to pursue; Instructor Trainer certification preferred
  3. CPO certification within one year
  4. Willingness to obtain EMR Certification
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
  • Ability to work cross functionally with all levels of employees and management
  • Willingness to travel overnight to attend and participate in seminars, meetings, and conferences out of town
  • Ability to work full-time
  • Acceptable pre-employment drug screen and background check
