JOB SUMMARY:
Provides technical support, troubleshooting, and repair of facility equipment. Maintains assigned equipment, provides training to peers as needed. Support equipment in other areas when needed.
DAILY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Monitor production areas to ensure proper functioning of assigned equipment and intervene for repairs as necessary.
- Utilize all manners of hand and power tools to diagnose, adjust, maintain, and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
- Review work orders to ensure accuracy and maintain documentation of work performed.
- Assist with installation of new equipment or modify existing equipment as required.
- Provide training to peers as requested or needed by maintenance lead, supervisor, or training department.
- Make suggestions for correctible measures when downtime results from mechanical or technical defects.
- Attend maintenance meetings and training as required.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and give feedback to supervisor about cost reduction, quality improvement and yield control.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Monitor VRT area to ensure proper functioning of assigned equipment.
- Be able to handle extreme cold temperatures with proper cold gear for majority of shift in VRT area and production floor.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION:
- MUST have a minimum of 6 months industrial maintenance experience.
- MUST be comfortable and experienced utilizing hand and power tools of all varieties.
- MUST know how to accurately use and read a tape measure as well as industrial blueprints.
- MUST have basic knowledge and safety understanding of electrical components.
- MUST have knowledge ofbasic math, including addition, subtraction, division, multiplication and calculating percentages.
- Skill in using a personal computerand various software applications, including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Ability to work in a refrigerated environment ranging from -35 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Ability to communicate in acourteous and professionalmanner with all plant employees, as well as third party vendors and contractors.
- Ability to operate a forklift, scissors lift, or any other powered equipment or machinery as needed.
- Ability to work with a group of technicians or autonomously with limited supervision.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- MUST be able to pass required physical, including demonstrating your ability to lift the required weight for each position.
- MUST be able to stand and/or walk for entire 12-hour shift.
- MUST wear correct job specific PPE as designated by company policy.
- Ability to consistently practice and enforce safe working habits.
- Ability to recognize safety risks and comply with all safety standards.
- Ability to work flexible hours when needed.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
1. Associate's degree or higher in Mechatronics, Electrical, Welding or similar fields preferred.
2. Previous experience working with VFD's (Variable Frequency Drive) preferred.
3. Basic Electrical Controls and Robotics knowledge.
