Aquatic Control Inc. is a privately owned lake and pond management company with our home office in Seymour Indiana and satellite offices in Valparaiso IN, Evansville IN, Truesdale MO, Memphis TN, Knoxville TN, Canton IL, Ankeny IA, Davenport IA, and Elizabethtown, KY. We are actively growing and need to add Aquatic Biologists.
The Position:
  • Primary duty will be the application of EPA registered aquatic herbicides and algaecides
  • Installation and maintenance of aerators, fountains, and compressed air systems
  • Aquatic plant surveys
  • Writing vegetation management plans
  • Performing fish surveys
  • Attend industry related training events and conferences
  • Heavy field work from March through October
  • General maintenance of trucks, boats, equipment, and grounds
  • Speaking at pond clinics, trade shows, and public meetings

Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in fisheries/aquatic science, agriculture, or a natural resources-related field
  • Insurable Driving Record
  • Pass Pre-Employment Drug Screening & DOT Physical
  • Comfortable Driving Truck & Boat Trailer Combination
  • Basic mechanical ability (experience in outboard motor operation is a plus)
  • Ability to work in an outdoor environment (physical labor required)
  • Ability to work an average of 50-60 hours per week
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs
