Title: Harvest Processing

Location: Milford, NE
Contract: Temporary
Duration: September 2026 – December 2026
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Pay: $20/hr.

Job Description

We are seeking entry-level Harvest Processing Technicians to support a soybean breeding program in Milford, Nebraska. This position will work alongside experienced technicians and BASF employees to support harvest, seed processing, and data collection activities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with soybean harvest preparation and field operations.
  • Perform hand seed harvesting, machine and hand seed threshing, and seed processing.
  • Collect, organize, and enter seed inventory and harvest data using Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Assist with maintaining accurate seed records and inventory.
  • Operate basic agricultural and processing equipment as directed.
  • Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Follow all safety procedures and instructions provided by supervisors.
  • Support additional harvest-related activities as needed.

Requirements

  • Agriculture, agronomy, horticulture, biology, crop science, or related experience is preferred but not required.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in sun, heat, dust, and insects.
  • Ability to work a Monday–Friday day shift.
  • Flexibility to work occasional weekends and overtime during peak harvest periods.
  • Successful completion of required medical exams and drug screening.
