Pay Range: $17 to $25 per hour

APS Medical Billing, located in Toledo Ohio, is seeking experienced Medical Billers to join our billing team. Beginning service in 1960, APS has grown into one of the premier billing companies, currently billing for over 250 client locations throughout the United States.
Responsibilities
  • Follow up on unresolved claims within the standard billing cycle
  • Investigate, identify, research, and appeal denied claims
  • Ensure accuracy and quality work on a day-to-day basis
  • Reliably meet deadlines in a high-volume setting

Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of medical billing experience
  • Strong medical billing A/R follow-up
  • Experience with UB-04 billing
  • Production-based focus, highly organized, and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
  • Understanding of medical terminology, medical billing practices, and billing reimbursement is essential
  • Familiar with billing guidelines and regulations in various states; across government and non-government insurance carriers
  • Strong computer and typing skills as well as insurance website/portal navigation
