Job description

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Purpose: To design, develop, and determine the best inspection methods and equipment with respect to a given group of jobs

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a safe work environment for self and others. Follows all safety rules and regulations. Demonstrate commitment to safety program
  • Reviews gaging and gaging methods for production inspection
  • Identify and work on continuous improvement activities with respect to gaging, GR&R and Process Capability
  • Participate in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process activities - works directly with Manufacturing Engineer in this process. Specifically, needs to be involved with the Control Plan methodology
  • Complete Inspection Reports
  • Participate in Design reviews and support part feature measurability and feasibility of control during the manufacturing process.
  • Ensure cells are designed by working with cross-functional teams that are tasked with clearly defining work center process flow using industry ergonomic and other guidelines
  • Initiate Statistical Process Control charting. Evaluate and report results
  • Complete Measurement Systems Analysis on proposed gaging.
  • Follow initial approvals (PPAP, ISIR, etc.)
  • Attend Material Review Board meetings as assigned
  • Participate in Corrective Action activities and writing Corrective Action reports
  • Demonstrate commitment to the TEAM Industries Quality Management system and Objectives
  • Promote a positive atmosphere. Actively support activities that promote the welfare and morale of TEAM employees
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned
