Farmers Insurance District 47 is seeking motivated individuals ready to develop real-world sales experience while learning what it takes to build and operate a successful insurance agency. This paid apprenticeship is designed for those who want more than a job - those interested in leadership, growth, and the opportunity to eventually run their own business.


Youll work alongside experienced agency leaders, gaining hands-on exposure to client acquisition, relationship management, and day-to-day business operations within a structured development program.

Responsibilities

What Youll Do


Generate new business opportunities through outreach, referrals, and networking

Build relationships with clients and deliver tailored insurance solutions

Support the full sales cycle, from initial contact to closing and follow-up

Collaborate with senior agency leaders to improve business processes and enhance overall agency performance.

Assist with marketing efforts and community engagement initiatives

Shadow agency leaders to understand operations, decision-making, and growth strategies

Attend regular training sessions, workshops, and industry events to continuously develop your skills.

Work towards meeting agency performance targets and individual sales goals.


Requirements

Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.

License: Ability to obtain Property & Casualty and Life & Health insurance licenses.

Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with clients.

Motivation: A proactive and enthusiastic approach to learning and sales. Strong problem-solving abilities and an entrepreneurial mindset.

Sales: Basic understanding of sales principles or willingness to learn in a hands-on environment.

Customer Service: Strong focus on providing exceptional customer service and building long-term relationships.

Dependability: Reliable transportation and punctual attendance at San Antonio office are crucial.

Teamwork: Ability to work independently and take initiative while being part of a collaborative team.
