About the Role: Join TAI as an Apprentice Maintenance Mechanic and play a vital role in maintaining the heartbeat of a world-class biologics manufacturing facility. You will ensure the continuous operation of critical process and utility systems, from bioreactors and purification skids to clean steam networks, through identifying potential maintenance activities throughout the plant. This is an apprentice role aimed to give exposure, experience to individuals who are coming from a trades background or aspire for a trades background while supporting life-saving production.

Here's a glimpse into your day to day: - Monitor site alarm systems and escalate to appropriate personnel.
- Assist in troubleshooting and acknowledging alarms across the site.
- Performing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on HVAC, electrical, and utility equipment in support of a Multi-Product Large Scale Biologics Facility, operating 24/7.
- Maintaining facility equipment, such as HVAC air handlers, refrigeration, cold rooms, chillers, cooling tower, pumps and drives, electrical switchgear, power distribution equipment, and emergency generators.
- Completing any required (GxP) documentation in a timely manner, including logbooks and work orders.
You'll be a perfect fit if you have: - An Associates degree or trade school certification within instrumentation, maintenance, electrical, mechanical, biotechnology, or other relevant program of study.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is also acceptable.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Candidate must possess basic computer skills
- Must have ability to communicate both orally and written in a clear manner
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position as necessary to complete assigned tasks.
- The person in this position needs to frequently move about client's facilities and offices to access equipment and complete tasks.
- Consistently ascend and descend portable and fixed ladders, scaffolding and other equipment used to reach equipment at various levels of height some of which maybe in excess of 25 feet in a safe manner.
- Must be able to ascend and descend a large quantity of stairways at any given time.
- Frequently move tools and equipment weighing up to 50lbs across client facilities as needed to complete tasks.
- Occasionally lift and move equipment in excess of 100lbs in a safe manner.
- Must be able to work in outdoor weather conditions as needed
Shifts: - (2-2-3 Day 12 hr. shift) 5:45am - 5:45pm
Compensation and Benefits: - Pay: $22-$28/hour (Based upon experience)
