Job description

Position Summary

New Horizons is seeking an exceptional Engagement Services Coordinator: Apprenticeships("Apprenticeship Coordinator")to coordinate our in-house Apprentice program, staff the daily operations of Day Program, and develop/facilitateconsistent engagement programming to be conducted during Day Program.


Hours: Theschedule is Monday-Thursday, 11:00am- 9:00pm(4-day work week/10-hour day schedule).


We are looking for someone who is collaborative, reliable, safe, patient, and resourceful.


What you would do: The Apprenticeship Coordinator will join our direct service team that is dedicated to the development and well-being of young people 25 and under who are experiencing homelessness, partnering with them to reach their full potential, and secure stable housing.

Required Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

  • Experience providing culturally responsive services and quality care to YYA in marginalized groups
  • Non-judgmental and enthusiastic attitude about engaging with young people across the spectrum of religious and spiritual beliefs, race, ethnicity, culture, sexualorientationand gender
  • Strongtrack recordapplying the principles of Trauma Informed Care and Positive Youth Development
  • Strongtrack recordof applying Conflict De-escalation
  • Understanding of Mental Health First Aid
  • Proficient with computers and technology including using the Microsoft 365 suite (Word, Excel, SharePoint and Outlook)
    • Ability to workintothe evenings (as late as 10pm)


    Preferred Qualifications

    • Three or more years of experience working with unhoused youth and young adults
    • Experience providing employment support
    • Abachelor'sdegree insocial work, Psychology,Sociologyor another closely related field
