Salon Assistant + Apprentice Program
JOB SUMMARY:
THE ASSISTANT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PROVIDING EXCEPTIONAL SUPPORT AND ENSURING A SEAMLESS, ENJOYABLE EXPERIENCE FOR ALL CLIENTS. THIS ROLE INCLUDES ASSISTING A MASTER STYLIST, MAINTAINING SALON CLEANLINESS, MANAGING APPOINTMENTS, SALES TRANSACTIONS, AND PROVIDING EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. THE PROGRAM WILL PREPARE A HAIR STYLIST FOR A VERY SUCCESSFUL CAREER BEHIND THE CHAIR.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Greet clients warmly, assist with check-in and providing refreshments, and ensure a positive and welcoming atmosphere in the salon.
  • Shampoo and conditions clients' hair, preparing them for various services while providing a spa like, relaxing shampoo.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in the studio, including sweeping hair, organizing styling tools, and sanitizing workstations.
  • Prepare and set up work space, ensuring all necessary tools and equipment are prepared for each appointment.
  • Handle basic salon tasks, such as draping clients, offering refreshments, and escorting clients to different salon areas, laundering + folding Towels , and answering phone calls + scheduling appointments
  • Provide hands-on Support during hair color applications, highlighting, and other technical processes as required.
  • Ability to adapt to new color techniques, and providing hands-on applications of toners, root shadows, basebreaks and more.
  • Taking notes of color formulas during our busy work schedule
  • Learn new cutting edge, time saving techniques on blow drying, styling, and cutting hair
  • Assist in scheduling, rescheduling, + POint of sale salon transactions
  • Have understanding of salon + Spa Operations and assist with phone calls
  • Provide assistance with preparing, washing, and coloring hair extensions.
  • Embrace a collaborative approach by working closely with other salon staff to maintain a cohesive and positive work environment.

REQUIRMENTS
  • Must have active Ohio Cosmetology License
  • Excellent Customer service is MANDATORY! Must be willing to go above and beyond for every client
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • MUST BE WILLING TO WORK CLOSELY WITH YOUR MENTOR, AND ANTICIPATE NEEDS AND FOLLOW DIRECTIONS AS GIVEN
  • Must adhere to a fashion Forward Dress code
  • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Basic knowledge of hair care products and salon procedures.
