Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and licensed Residential Plumber to manage the installation, repair, maintenance, and replacement of water, drain, waste, and vent (DWV), and gas systems within residential properties. This role requires expertise in plumbing codes, advanced diagnostic skills, and a commitment to delivering safe, reliable, and high-quality plumbing work.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Service & Repair: Promptly and accurately diagnose and repair issues with water heaters (tank and tankless), toilets, faucets, fixtures, garbage disposals, and various plumbing components.
  • Pipe Installation & Repair: Install, repair, and replace residential piping systems including water (e.g., copper, PEX), drain, waste, and gas lines, ensuring leak-free connections and proper venting.
  • Fixture Installation: Install new sinks, tubs, showers, toilets, dishwashers, and other plumbing fixtures during remodels or replacements.
  • Drain Maintenance: Assist with clearing clogs in sinks, toilets, and main lines using basic plumbing tools, and recommend advanced drain services as needed.
  • Code Compliance: Strictly adhere to all local, state, and national plumbing codes, regulations, and safety standards. Secure necessary permits and coordinate inspections.
  • Water Quality: Install and service water conditioning equipment, such as water softeners and filtration systems.
  • Customer Experience: Clearly communicate the diagnosis, required scope of work, repair options, and costs to homeowners. Ensure the work area is left clean and tidy upon completion.
  • Documentation: Accurately complete work orders, invoices, material logs, and time records using company-provided technology.
  • Emergency Response: Participate in the on-call rotation to provide timely, after-hours emergency plumbing service to clients.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong, comprehensive working knowledge of all residential plumbing systems, including domestic water, natural gas, and drain-waste-vent (DWV) systems.
  • Tools & Equipment: Proficiency in using plumbing tools, including pipe cutters, torches for soldering/brazing, various wrenches, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal communication and professional interaction skills with team members and homeowners.
  • Mobility: Valid state-issued Driver's License and a clean driving record.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs, handle tools, and maneuver in tight/confined spaces (crawlspaces, under sinks) and in various weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of verifiable experience specifically performing residential plumbing service and installation work.
  • Backflow Testing Certification or willingness to obtain immediately.
  • Experience with advanced water treatment and conditioning systems.
  • Formal completion of an accredited plumbing apprenticeship program.
