With more than 75 years of experience in commercial and industrial mechanical construction, Wilkinson provides skilled tradespeople with the opportunity to work on challenging projects involving sophisticated mechanical and piping systems.


What You'll Do

As a Pipefitter, you will be responsible for installing and assembling commercial and industrial piping systems while working alongside experienced, professional team members and other skilled trades.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Installing, assembling, fabricating, and modifying commercial and industrial piping systems.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, piping diagrams, isometric drawings, and specifications.
  • Measuring, cutting, threading, grooving, fitting, welding, brazing, and assembling pipe and fittings.
  • Installing valves, hangers, supports, strainers, expansion joints, and other piping components.
  • Working with boiler, heating, hydronic, steam, condensate, compressed air, and other mechanical piping systems.
  • Performing pressure testing and other system testing procedures.
  • Identifying and correcting installation issues.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe jobsite.
  • Working closely with teammates and other trades to keep projects moving safely and efficiently.
  • Helping Apprentices and Helpers develop their pipefitting skills.


What We're Looking For

Required:

  • Current Massachusetts Journeyman Pipefitter License.
  • Commercial or industrial pipefitting experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and piping diagrams.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
  • Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.

Preferred:

  • Commercial/industrial mechanical construction experience.
  • Boiler, hydronic, steam, or condensate piping experience.
  • Welding or brazing experience.
  • Experience reading isometric drawings.
  • Experience working with and mentoring Apprentices.
