Job description

Position: Pipefitter/Welder
Location: Greenville, SC
Job Type: On-site (100%)
Reports to: Department Manager
Department: North American Operations
Position Purpose: Pipefitter is responsible for installing, fabricating, and assembling piping systems according to engineered drawings and project specifications. This role supports onsite operations by performing accurate measurements, fitting, welding, and fabrication across a variety of materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, PVC, C-PVC, copper, and threading piping systems. Pipefitter ensures all work meets safety, quality, and performance standards while supporting efficient project execution at the site.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrates the values and business principles of Leadec.
  • Works safely at all times.
  • Read tape measures (metric and standard)
  • Fabricate correctly from engineered drawings
  • Take precise field measurements
  • Perform welding and/or fabrication of Carbon Steel piping, Stainless Steel piping, PVC piping, C-PVC piping, copper piping, and screw pipe systems
  • Perform welding, soldering, threading, or other fabrication techniques as required by project specifications
  • Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with safety codes, quality standards, and project specifications.
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment required for pipe fabrication and installation
  • Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely project completion
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to all workplace safety and PPE requirements
  • Adhering to and supporting all EHS and Quality objectives, in accordance with ISO 14001, 45001 and 9001 respectively.
  • All other duties assigned by Leadec manager.

Position Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of pipefitting experience

  • Must be able to take precise field measurements
  • Must be able to perform welding and/or fabrication of Carbon Steel piping, Stainless Steel piping, PVC piping, C-PVC piping, copper piping, and screw pipe systems

  • Required to talk and/or hear in an industrial setting (noise level is high). Frequently required to stand and walk on concrete surfaces for 4 -12 hours. Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; lift; climb or balance; kneel, crawl, stoop, or crouch.
  • Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
  • Work is performed in an industrial-manufacturing environment with occasional time spent working on a computer or at a desk.
