Job description

The Quality Inspector role offers the opportunity to ensure excellence across manufacturing and inspection processes, supporting compliance, quality standards, and customer specifications. This position plays a key role in delivering high-quality products and services while collaborating with Engineering, Project Management, Procurement, and Manufacturing teams. Quality Inspectors drive continuous improvement, identify non-conformances, and help create a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence.
 
This role provides hands-on experience with inspection tools, blueprints, and technical drawings, with increasing responsibility based on experience level. It offers the chance to mentor and develop team members, influence process improvements, and contribute directly to the success and efficiency of manufacturing operations.

Position Summary 
The mission of the Quality Inspectors to create and drive World Class corporate performance through quality achievement recognized by the accreditations platforms and to ensure all accreditations are registered, documented, achieved, continuously improved, (re)certified and renewed. The role is the inspector is to ensure corporate ISO 9001:2008 quality management system (QMS), AISC certification, and ASME certification. The role is responsible to ensure all employees are properly trained and prepared to be audited if called upon by the relevant accrediting agency.

Role Responsibilities 
  • Be hands on quality control while fabricating and beating duct or fittings together
  • Responsible for assessing corporate conformance to the Quality Management System (QMS), AISC Certification, and ASME Certification
  • Assist with all inspection and testing services provided by RK
  • Monitor activities relating to client expectations of the company.
  • Report QMS progress, activities, and observations to Quality Manager.
  • Review plans to ensure they meet building codes, local ordinances and zoning regulations
  • Monitor construction sites/fabrication facilities to ensure overall compliance
  • Use survey instruments, testing equipment, and other systems to ensure that product meets code and requirements
  • Verify alignment, level, and elevation of products
  • Keep daily logs, including photographs taken during inspection
  • Provide written feedback related to the findings
  • Other duties as assigned
 
Qualifications
    • CWI
    • Indirect supervision.
    • Fully competent in all conventional aspects of subject matter or functional area.
    • Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in independent evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation/modification of standards.  
    • Devises new solutions to problems encountered.
    • Independently  performs most assignments with instruction
    • Receives guidance for unusual or complex problems and supervisor approval for changes in standards.
    • College/university graduate or equivalent combination of skills and experience generally expected for specified technical roles.
Minimum Physical Requirements and Accountability 
  • Work outside, inside, and in dusty, noisy and hazardous areas.
  • Work in high places, tight places, confined spaces and/or other adverse locations.
  • Climb, balance, squat, kneel and crouch.
  • Work in all types of weather.
  • Must have working knowledge of all trade materials and tools.
  • Ability to lift and carry 36 to 50 lbs. occasionally, and/or 22 to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 11 to 15 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
