Description

Education:

  • Attend weekly technical education classes on advanced styling, cutting and coloring
  • Identify and schedule appropriate models for weekly classes. Approximately 4–6 models are required for class each week
  • Required to use inspirational reference material and document before and after images of each model and work performed during class

In Salon:

  • Support all Salon operation efforts with fellow apprentices
  • Support all Salon related requests from any hairdresser including seating clients, shampooing clients, assuring clients are comfortable and offered beverage service
  • Support positive synergy between cut and color departments including supporting Blow‐Drying, Color blow‐dry's, cross service promotions
  • Assure consistent execution of the 'Ideal Client Experience' creating a high touch customer service experience that is efficient, helpful, friendly, courteous and professional
  • Comply with established operational policies and procedures
  • Communicate as needed with stock room supervisor to ensure appropriate stock levels of retail and back‐bar are maintained
  • Report to Cutting and Color floor coordinators any client recovery needs/issues and demonstrate excellent customer service
  • Support completion all housekeeping needs, e.g. sweeping of floors, folding towels, etc.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent technical styling and/or color skills
  • Excellent customer service, communication, organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast‐paced environment including evenings and weekends
  • This position requires moderate physical effort. Some unpacking and packing of materials are required when restocking the floor supplies. One must stand nearly 8 hours

Expectations:

  • Must present an appropriate image of fashion and style that is polished, professional and representative of the Bumble and bumble culture at all times
  • Support, communicate, and model the Bumble and bumble mission and values

Education and Experience:

  • Experience in beauty industry preferred
  • Must obtain a current cosmetology license issued by the state of NY
  • Interest in social media and digital content creation

Pay Range:

The anticipated hourly range for this position is $17.00 to $22.00. Exact hourly rate depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Hourly range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program.
