Construction Journeyman

Compensation

Regenis is looking for a talented Construction Journeyman to join the team full-time. This position pays $30 - $35 per hour.

Job Description

Regenis is seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Construction Journeyman to join our team. In this role, you will provide mentorship to an apprentice laborer and support a strong safety culture. You will work collaboratively with internal team members and contractors.

We’re looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, demonstrates initiative, and is eager to learn and grow. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who performs all aspects of Regenis construction labor tasks. Works with sheet metal, concrete, civil, mechanical equipment, air, water, and gas piping, while adhering to Regenis company policies and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtains daily work assignments and determines the work to be completed
  • Retrieves, stages, and organizes materials, tools, and supplies for welding and construction activities
  • Assists with the placement and installation of steel piping, structural supports, epoxy anchors and expansion anchors, including grouting work
  • Assists with the installation of HDPE and PVC piping systems as well as process equipment, valves and instrumentation
  • Assists with the forming, placing, pouring and finishing of concrete
  • Installs and torques flange bolts on process piping systems in accordance with project specifications
  • Prepares, cleans, and paints steel piping and related components
  • Follow all safety protocols, ensure tools and machinery are properly maintained, wear proper PPE for all construction tasks
  • Identify opportunities for learning new skills, take initiative to find additional work when finished with given task
  • Adheres to assigned work schedule (attendance and punctuality)
  • Responds to phone messages and emails in timely manner
  • Comply with all applicable standards, policies and procedures
  • Seeks assistance as needed and asks questions in a timely manner and to appropriate staff
  • Operate hand and power tools and machinery such as forklifts, generators, and air compressors
  • Operates company vehicles, when authorized, to pick up materials, deliver supplies, and perform other company-related errands
  • Dig trenches
  • Provides day-to-day guidance and mentorship to apprentice construction laborers
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and safe construction site, including coordinating general housekeeping activities with apprentice laborers

Minimum Requirements

  • Journeyman experience required
  • Previous construction experience required
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Certifications & Licenses as required
  • Must provide own basic hand tools (specialty tools and equipment will be provided on site).
  • Consistently meets the overall goals of Regenis, timely performance of duties
  • Ability to follow instructions with appropriate level of self-direction
  • Must be able to interpret and apply verbal and/or written instructions in English
  • Ability to interact with coworkers, contractors, vendors, and management on a positive level
  • Responsive to inter-company personnel
  • Ability to take initiative on work in progress with little to no supervision
  • Ability to do repetitive work while maintaining attention to detail
  • Able to follow direction and retain information as instructed
  • Basic understanding and proper use of hand/power tools
  • Basic understanding of construction math
  • Current Driver’s License and/or reliable means of transportation, and acceptable driving record
