To qualify as a Section 3 worker, you must reside in the County of Orange and meet one of the following requirements:


  • I am a public housing resident.
  • I am an HWS Section 8 voucher recipient.

  • MUST RESIDE IN ORANGE COUNTY


General Laborer


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  1. Perform various manual labor tasks, including but not limited to digging, lifting, carrying, and moving materials.
  2. Assist with the setup and dismantling of equipment and structures as needed.
  3. Operate a variety of hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
  4. Follow instructions and guidelines to complete assigned tasks within designated time frames.
  5. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  6. Assist with loading and unloading materials, supplies, and equipment from trucks and delivery vehicles.
  7. Assist skilled workers, such as carpenters, electricians, or plumbers, by providing support and carrying out basic tasks as directed.
  8. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment.
  9. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols.
  10. Report any safety concerns, accidents, or incidents to the supervisor immediately.


REQUIREMENTS:


  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Proven experience as a General Laborer or similar role is preferred.
  3. Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects repeatedly.
  4. Proficient in using basic hand and power tools.
  5. Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
  6. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
  7. Basic understanding of workplace safety procedures and regulations.
  8. Willingness to work in various weather conditions and environments.
  9. Punctuality and reliability in meeting work schedules.
  10. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks.


Electrician - CA State Certified


DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES & SCOPE:


  • Responsible for assembly, installation, maintenance and testing of electrical equipment and wiring systems in commercial settings.
  • Prepares work area for installation of equipment.
  • Installs electrical components.
  • Connects wiring and equipment as per code and job specification.
  • Operates equipment only if trained and certified to operate. (Note: Powder activated tools, and JLG lifts and other operations that may require certification and training before operating).
  • Sets up and operates tools such as hydraulic benders, power threaders, power pullers and cable vacuum systems.
  • Be able to read blueprints and electrical drawings and install as specified.
  • Verify dimensions, alignments and clearances per drawings or plans.
  • Secure and lock up equipment after use.
  • State Journeyman Electrician Certification is a requirement in states where required or considered highly desirable in states without this requirement
  • A proven track record of delivering safe projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Excellent working knowledge of the Building Codes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS & REQUIREMENTS:


  • Job requires working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain, snow.
  • Wear personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, and gloves always).
  • Able to work 8-10 hours per day, 40 hours per week, overtime, and night shifts as required.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, including crawling, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, reaching, able to routinely lift heavy objects in excess of 50 pounds and pushing and pulling of objects is required.
  • Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers.
  • Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of the job.
