Job Summary:
Omega Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join their Allegion Quality Engineering Team. This role involves leading quality efforts for digital products, developing test automation strategies, and providing technical leadership within the team.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the Quality efforts for digital products in the custom software portfolio.
• Set strategies for new testing methodologies & processes in alignment with business initiatives.
• Develop and enable the team to execute comprehensive test automation code and test cases for new and existing features of Allegion products.
• Provide technical leadership at the product team level.
• Mentor, guide, and provide technical oversight to Junior team members in your area of responsibility.
• Work closely with product teams and product management to understand requirements and translate them into test cases.
• Create, maintain, and execute test plans and test cases against software platforms.
• Estimate test efforts, analyze, and communicate test results.
• Conduct peer reviews, defect tracking, and participate in day-to-day Quality Engineering Activities.
• Provide enterprise-level guidance on test framework architecture, CI/CD integration, and DevOps principles as related to software testing.
• Collaborate with technical architects, product strategists, business analysts, and others to understand business requirements.
• Identify, evaluate, and recommend hardware or software technologies to achieve desired database performance.
• Demonstrate effective written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Collaborate, negotiate and work with cross-functional teams.
• Assess problems and lead others to find well-thought-out solutions.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Fourteen (14) years of experience in quality engineering.Creating manual test cases, test plans, and test strategies.
• Ten (10) years of experience in using automation tools for developing test scripts.
• Seven (7) years of experience in doing API testing.
• Ability to work independently, and manage initiatives to meet schedules in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Skilled at communicating with, presenting to, and influencing internal customers.
• Have expert knowledge of testing concepts, test processes, test design skills, and testing techniques.
• Specific duties and responsibilities include creating, maintaining, and executing test plans and test cases against our software platforms, estimating test efforts, analyzing, and communicating test results, Peer reviews, defect tracking, and participating in day-to-day Quality Engineering Activities.
• Provide enterprise-level guidance on test framework architecture, CI/CD integration, and DevOps principles as related to software testing COTS/custom web solutions.
• Experience in open-source frameworks (Selenium, Playwright, Jest), API testing using POSTMAN or similar tools, Testing Grids (BrowserStack), or equivalent.
• Collaborate with technical architects, product strategists, business analysts, and others to understand business requirements; Integrate new systems with existing warehouse structure and refine system performance and functionality in an Agile environment.
• Identify, evaluate, and recommend hardware or software technologies to achieve desired database performance.
• Effective in written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and concepts enabling teams to be successful.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate, negotiate and work with cross-functional teams. Flexibility to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to think on your feet, assess problems, and lead others to find well-thought-out solutions.
• Experience with integrated test environments.
Preferred:
• Exposure to Agile environment.
• Prior experience in a global work environment.
• Expert in Open-source test frameworks, Testing grids.
• Exposure to HTML and CSS
