Job description

The Body Shop Foreman is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the commercial truck body shop. You will bridge the gap between management and technicians, ensuring that all collision repairs, paint jobs, and structural work are completed with precision, safety, and efficiency.
Typical work hours are 7:30AM to 4:00PM Monday-Friday. Compensation is based on experience, and ranges from $35/HR to $38/HR.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide guidance on complex structural repairs, frame straightening, and fiberglass work.
  • Train and mentor junior technicians and apprentices to improve shop-wide skill sets.
  • Ensure all repairs meet or exceed OEM specifications and DOT safety standards.
  • Assist estimators in identifying hidden damage to prevent mid-job "supplement" delays.
  • Maintain accurate records of labor hours, materials used, and technician productivity.
  • Ensure all shop equipment (paint booths, frame machines, welding gear) is in top working condition.
  • Enforce strict adherence to OSHA and EPA regulations regarding hazardous materials and waste disposal.
  • Promote a "Safety First" culture, ensuring the use of proper PPE and shop ventilation.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Ability to Tear down and reassembly Commercial Heavy-Duty Trucks /Tractors.
