Job Purpose:
- The Glazier Apprentice at BLAKLEY CORP will embark on a comprehensive training journey to develop the skills necessary to excel in the glazing trade. As a union glazing apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience and knowledge in the installation, repair, and maintenance of glass and glazing systems. This role is designed for individuals with a high school education and a background in construction helper experience, aiming to build a career in the glazing industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist experienced glaziers in the installation of glass, mirrors, and other glazing materials in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Learn and adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Develop proficiency in the use of tools and equipment specific to the glazing trade.
- Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance technical skills and industry knowledge.
- Support the team in measuring, cutting, and fitting glass and glazing materials accurately.
- Contribute to maintaining clean and organized workspaces and equipment.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to complete projects on time and to specifications.
