As a Rotor Wing Maintenance Technician, you will ensure the safe, compliant, efficient, and mission-ready status of our aircraft fleet. This role requires strong technical knowledge, independent decision-making, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to represent EXCOLO Aviation professionally both domestically and internationally.

You will work closely with flight crews, company leadership, vendors, and support teams to execute scheduled and unscheduled maintenance while maintaining safety and compliance as our highest priority.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a complete understanding of the aircraft maintenance program (Traxxall) and ensure compliance with applicable requirements
  • Perform and coordinate scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance
  • Troubleshoot aircraft systems with emphasis on safety, reliability, and operational readiness
  • Maintain accurate aircraft records, documentation, and maintenance tracking
  • Assume ownership of assigned aircraft with exceptional attention to detail, cleanliness, and presentation standards
  • Support aircraft operations away from home base, including domestic and international assignments
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with company leadership, vendors, and manufacturers
  • Participate in continuous improvement by independent self study and bringing forward creative and thoughtful solutions
  • Maintain open and transparent communication with company leadership
  • Actively participate in the Safety Management System (SMS) and promote a โ€œSafety Alwaysโ€ culture
  • Represent EXCOLO Aviation professionally when interacting with clients, vendors, and external partners
  • Strong critical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to think creatively and develop solutions in dynamic operational environments

Job Requirements:

  • Inspection Authorization (IA) preferred
  • Minimum 4+ years of twin-engine helicopter maintenance experience
  • Advanced understanding of aircraft systems, troubleshooting, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Experience with avionics troubleshooting, software loading, and aircraft database updates preferred
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally in support of aircraft operations
  • Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of Hayward Executive Airport (Hayward, California), a commute time of approximately 1.5 hours or less is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work outdoors and support aircraft operations in varying environmental conditions
  • Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, after-hours support, and operational travel
  • Motivated to complete continued training, including online, factory, and off-site training programs
  • Successful completion of background check and pre-employment drug screening
  • Current and valid driverโ€™s license required
  • Current and valid passport required
