Apprentice Electroplating Technician

Penn United Technologies, Inc. is actively hiring full-time Apprentice Electroplating Techniciansย for our expanding Plating facility. This is an excellent opportunity to launch a hands-on career in the precision manufacturing industry with on-the-job training and advancement opportunities.

This role requires the flexibility to rotate weekly among daylight, afternoon, and midnight shifts. A 10% shift premium is offered for non-daylight shifts.

Responsibilities: ย 

  • Work on the electroplating shop floor in order to learn required job tasks
  • Regularly attend apprenticeship classes held on site
  • Manage the activities of the plating parts, including setup and maintenance of the lines, plating and inspection of the parts, and the preparation of parts for shipping.
  • Strive to keep setup and maintenance time to a minimum
  • Maintain job tracking system
  • Ensure that chemical inventories are adequately maintained at all times and that orders are properly filed
  • Follow all safety and quality plans
  • Study the production schedule and estimate the requirements for completing an order efficiently and effectively
  • Rotate, on a weekly basis, from daylight, afternoon and midnight shiftsย 

Qualifications:

  • Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Technical, mechanical and math ability
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Able to work daylight, afternoon, and midnight rotating shiftsย 
  • Able to lift 40 lbs., and stand/walk for 8 hours.
