Job description

Under immediate supervision, the Apprentice Auto Mechanic performs all minor maintenance and repair assignments and assists the Journeyman Mechanics and the Auto Mechanics as assigned. Employee is responsible for pick-up and delivery of parts for services performed on vehicles and equipment. Work requires mature judgment and interaction with employees of parts vendors and suppliers in the private sector. It does not require the employee to deal directly with the public. He/she will work generally under the supervision of the Fleet Operations and Materials Management Supervisors.
