Overview

The Enterprise brand of Enterprise Mobility is seeking a responsible, dedicated person to join our team as an Apprentice Automotive Technician located at our Southwest Philadelphia Service Center! 

The Automotive Technician Apprentice is a paid, hands-on training role that supports vehicle maintenance and repair activities while developing foundational technical skills under the supervision of experienced Automotive Technicians.  The apprentice assists with preventative maintenance, basic repairs, inspections, and repair documentation in accordance with manufacturer specifications, company policies, and quality standards.  This role is designed to prepare the employee for progression into the Automotive Technician position based on successful completion of training, demonstration of required skills, and business need.

The starting rate of pay is $18 / hour based on a 25-40 hour work week and we can work within your school schedule.  Must be willing to obtain PA State Inspection and Emission within 90 days. Once obtained, this position will pay $20 / hour.

Responsibilities

We are hiring now for immediate openings.  Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure that all mechanical repairs and maintenance tasks are completed according to manufacturer specificationsand guidelines, working alongside and under the direction of an experienced Automotive Technician
  • Complete manufacturerrequired training and assist with performing warranty and recall repairs according tomanufacturer specifications and guidelines
  • Maintain vehicle repair history by documenting a repair order (RO) to accurately reflect steps taken and part(s)used during the repair, with guidance
  • Comply with parts handling and inventory tracking procedures
  • Provide safe and reliable vehicles upon completion of assigned services and preventative maintenance tasks
  • Utilize multiple manufacturers' websites, software, and diagnostic tools with direction to research and supportvehicle repairs and maintenance
  • May process new fleet, lube oil filter rotations (LOFR), tires, fuel reclamation, or buybacks, as trained andauthorized
  • Update job knowledge by participating in companyapproved and manufacturerapproved training,apprenticeships, and other industryrelated learning opportunities
  • Follow proper procedures to comply with all health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Maintain the work area in a safe, clean condition and comply with all uniform and equipment standards
  • Seek to improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training and goal setting
  • Maintain a regular and reliable level of attendance and punctuality
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited automotive technical school pursing a certification/degree in mechanical training at the Community College of Philadelphia.
  • Must be graduating between December 2026-May 2027
  • Must be willing to obtain PA State Inspection and Emission within 90 days.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
  • Must be able to work at least 25-40 hours per week throughout the internship program.
