We're searching for a compassionate human to join our A-team of behavior therapists. Being a behavior technician with Grove Behavioral Services is perfect for that person who always finds themselves the center of fun when playing with kids! As a Behavior Technician, you will be provided with training at no cost to you to obtain the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). You will use your skills to interact with children with developmental differences, such as Autism, and create a joyous learning environment to learn new skills. We utilize an evidence-based approach called Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) through the lens of trauma-assumed and compassionate care. You will spend each day engaging with children in activities to help build their communication skills, social awareness and confidence.
The Behavior Technician position is ideal for people who are natural caregivers, individuals who have an interest in teaching individuals with special needs, daycare, or education. Experience is great, but not required. We provide paid training, a collaborative team environment, and a clear career path with advancement opportunities.
So what does this job look like? Supported by our fantastic team, you will:
  • Work with kids between the ages of 2-22 with special needs.
  • Work full- or part-time hours between 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM (Monday-Thursday) and 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM (Fridays).
  • Gain the skills to develop a wide range of careers, such as in behavior analysis, teaching, and related professional helping fields.
  • Create meaningful change for children and their families.

What will Grove bring to the table to get you started? We will pay for:
  • CPR certification.
  • 40 hours of online training, required for eligibility to become an RBT.
  • OJT before you start working under supervision.

What do you have to bring to the table? These things are required:
  • Completed GED or high school diploma + be age 18 or older.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driverโ€™s license.
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check + eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Comfortability moving quickly when interacting with children, and occasionally moving or lifting ~30-50 lbs.
