Culver Academies is a private boarding school. We enroll students from across the United States and around the world.

We are seeking diverse talent to support our mission and enrich our learning environment. At Culver, we are always looking to strengthen our organizational leadership by adding outstanding talent to our staff whose passion is to serve our students. Our location in Culver, Indiana is on the shore of Lake Maxinkuckee, Culver Academies encompasses 1,800 acres of green hills and woodlands, and a historic collegiate-like campus with beautiful Gothic buildings and architecture.

Culver Academies seeks an Educational Applications Specialist to serve as the bridge between our technology systems and our campus community. In this dynamic role, you'll be the behind-the-scenes orchestrator who makes technology work seamlessly for faculty, staff, and students, ensuring new community members have immediate access to the tools they need and supporting transitions between school years. This person understands how teachers think and work, and uses that understanding to configure systems that support pedagogy, not just administration.

In this role, you will manage access and onboarding for faculty, staff, and students; maintain and configure our suite of enterprise applications; and lead transitions between academic years. You will collaborate directly with faculty to ensure that competency-based grading structures and LMS configurations accurately reflect how academic departments define and assess student learning. Success in this role looks like teachers who feel supported and heard, new colleagues who are fully set up and supported from day one, and platforms that work together with seamless data integrations.

RESPONSIBILITIES: User and Access Management Welcome new faculty, staff, and students to our technology ecosystem by setting up their accounts and access across all platforms. Coordinate offboarding procedures while maintaining security protocols for departing community members. Application Configuration and Maintenance Configure and fine-tune our suite of educational applications including Veracross, Toddle, and Blackbaud.

Collaborate with end users to customize systems that match their workflows. Translate faculty pedagogical needs, including competency-based grading workflows, into system configurations. Jump into troubleshooting mode when issues arise, working with vendors and colleagues to find creative solutions.

Test new features and updates before rollout, ensuring smooth experiences for our community. Build and maintain helpful documentation so others can learn alongside you. Annual Academic Operations Lead the transition between school years/camp years in our educational platforms.

Orchestrate year-end and start-of-year system configurations, working closely with academic leadership to get everything ready for registration and the start of school/camp. Import class schedules and student rosters, ensuring every student and teacher can hit the ground running. Bring new platform features to life by implementing modules that enhance teaching and learning.

Data Integration Management Keep our systems talking to each other smoothly by building well-maintained integrations using APIs. Investigate and resolve complex data integration issues between systems, implementing fixes and process improvements to maintain system integrity. Team up with vendors and internal colleagues to design and deploy new integrations as we adopt innovative tools.

Perform system audits to ensure data is kept up to date. Create clear documentation of how our systems connect and share information. Collaboration and Support Build relationships across campus to understand how different departments use technology.

Become the primary technical liaison for faculty and staff, providing advanced system guidance, configuration support, and optimization strategies. Serve as a faculty-facing technology partner to ensure the LMS platform supports, rather than constrains, their teaching practice. Contribute your ideas and energy to process optimization projects that advance institutional technology strategy.

Manage and monitor ticket queues within SLA targets, triage incidents by severity, and act as Tier 2/Tier 3 escalation point for complex technical issues. Independently troubleshoot, analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution and detailed feedback to the reporting user. Perform additional technical, operational, and project-based responsibilities as required to support IT service continuity and institutional objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS 3-5 years of experience in technical support, educational technology, or application support. A bachelor's degree is preferred. Background in education or direct experience working in K-12 or secondary education environments.

Comfortable working with data, including importing, exporting, and understanding how information flows between systems. Excellent English-language reading and writing skills for responding to inquiries and drafting correspondence. Excellent communicator who can explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
