Job description

Dometic Land Vehicles Americas is a trusted provider of high-end products for recreational vehicles, commercial passenger vehicles and overlanding vehicles in North America, Latin America, and the Caribbean. We are on a journey of continuous growth - now looking for our next star - a passionate Director of Business Applications within our IT capability. This position reports to the Vice President of IT and will work in Elkhart, Indiana.
About the position
As a Director of Business Applications in the IT team, you will play a pivotal role in driving technology-enabled transformation across the organization. In this position, you serve as the strategic bridge between IT and the business, leading the development, optimization, and performance of core enterprise applications-most notably D-365. You guide cross-functional teams, shape process improvements, and ensure that systems, data, and workflows align with Dometic's operational goals and growth ambitions. Ultimately, this role exists to elevate business efficiency, strengthen digital capabilities, and empower teams with the tools and insights they need to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
Your main responsibilities
  • Manage execution of complex process improvement initiatives affecting multiple functional areas.
  • Work with Business Leaders to set Key Metrics and demonstrate improvement to the senior leadership team.
  • Day to Day management of D-365 Team and Application Management Team
  • Utilize various process improvement tools and methodologies to define activities and detailed tasks that are aligned with business objectives.
  • Determine time frame, funding limitation, procedures, documentation and processes for accomplishing these projects including staffing requirements and allotment of available resources to various project phases.
  • Create and establish work plans and staffing for each phase of projects and arrange for recruitment or assignment of project personnel from IT and Business functional groups.
  • Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget.
  • Work closely with outside consultants and programming providers to provide technical support and to resolve problems and issues.
  • Conduct periodic project review sessions with functional business groups and process owners to ensure enterprise applications are used as designed and operating efficiently.
  • Prepare status reports for Senior Management team and department heads.
  • Participate in Strategic planning of business mission/objectives.
  • Collaborate with business partners to define how best to configure EBS to ensure business objectives are met
  • Work within budgetary constraints to manage timelines and resources.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

A suitable background would be a solid experience within Dynamic 365 and Cross-Functional leadership - as well as the following qualifications and experiences:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or Information Systems.
  • Experience: Ten (10) years of experience, with a minimum of five (5) years of managerial experience and five (5) years previous experience leading software enabled process improvement projects.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of leading business practices and software enabled re-engineering.
  • Experienced with D-365 operations modules, such as order management, procurement, inventory, bills of materials, MRP, and WIP.
  • Experienced with D-365 finance/accounting modules, such as general ledger, accounts receivables, accounts payable, cost management, incentive compensation, cash management and fixed assets.
  • Experienced with D-365 supply chain planning, master production schedule and Forecasting.
  • Knowledge of finance, manufacturing, planning and logistics processes.
  • Experienced with system integration planning and implementation.
  • Experienced with contract negotiations and management.
  • Experienced with Strategic IT and business planning.
  • English language skills: Able to read, write, speak and comprehend English.
  • Math skills: Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide. Ability to create/development/maintain algorithms and mathematical models.
  • Physical Demands: General office environment.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Office suite
