Applications (Technical) Field Engineer - kp Food Products
Job Summary
The Applications (Technical) Field Engineer - Provides on-site technical support, testing, qualifying, troubleshooting, and optimization of kp food products to include Trays, Rigid films and Flexible lidding films. This role acts as a key link between customers, R&D, production, and sales, ensuring optimal product performance, food safety compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide on-site technical support to customers in ensure for kp food products preform to customer satisfaction.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to product performance, processing parameters, or equipment operation.
  • Conduct product trials, demonstrations, and process optimization at customer facilities
  • Train customer personnel on proper product performance with various equipment and operations.
  • Collect field data, samples, and customer feedback to support continuous product improvement.
  • Support sales and marketing teams with technical expertise during customer visits and presentations.
  • Prepare technical reports, service documentation, and root-cause analyses.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (R&D, Quality, Manufacturing) to resolve technical challenges.
  • Assist in the definition of new product development by discussing specifications, market trends and product opportunities.
  • Work closely with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to ensure proper integration, compatibility, and optimal performance of kp food products within processing equipment.
  • Evaluate equipment and process performance in collaboration with OEMs and customers, and recommend technical or process improvements to enhance efficiency, product quality, and reliability.
  • Travel regularly to customer sites, including food manufacturing plants and processing facilities.

Qualifications:
  • University Degree in Engineering or Science, specifically Polymer Engineering, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or 5+ year of field experience
  • Background in OEM equipment: ProSeal, Mulitvac, Ross, Reiser, Mondini, Ossid, Omori
  • Technical problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Project management skills
  • Language proficiency - English required
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
