Job description

Position Summary:
The Identity & Application Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the administration, security, reliability, and continuous improvement of Red River's identity, access management, authentication, and business application platforms. This role provides technical leadership for identity lifecycle management, privileged access administration, application integrations, workflow automation, and governance controls.
The Engineer serves as a key contributor to Red River's cybersecurity, compliance, and operational excellence objectives by developing secure, scalable, and automated solutions that support employees, customers, and business operations across cloud and hybrid environments.

Primary Position Tasks:

  • Administer identity, access management, authentication, and governance platforms.
  • Manage user lifecycle automation, provisioning, deprovisioning, and access controls.
  • Administer Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and related services.
  • Support administration, integration, lifecycle management, and operational reliability of enterprise business applications and associated infrastructure platforms.
  • Administer privileged access and credential management solutions.
  • Develop automation solutions using PowerShell, Power Automate, and related technologies.
  • Support compliance, security, audit, and governance requirements.
  • Serve as a Tier III escalation resource and participate in infrastructure and application modernization initiatives.
  • Maintain system documentation, standards, and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, HR, and Business Operations teams to improve efficiency and reliability.

Minimum Education/Certification/Experience Requirements:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience administering enterprise identity, application, infrastructure, or cloud platforms.
  • Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and hybrid identity environments.
  • Experience administering Microsoft 365 technologies.
  • Experience with authentication technologies, including SSO, MFA, identity governance, and access management.
  • Experience supporting SQL Server administration, database integrations, or application infrastructure platforms.
  • Experience developing automation solutions through PowerShell, Power Automate, or equivalent technologies.
  • Experience supporting security, compliance, governance, and audit-related initiatives.
  • Strong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with identity governance and administration (IGA) platforms such as HelloID or similar solutions.
  • Experience supporting HR-driven provisioning and lifecycle management integrations.
  • Experience with privileged access management (PAM) platforms such as CyberArk/Idira, Passwordstate, or similar technologies.
  • Experience supporting ERP, CRM, HRIS, or other enterprise business application platforms.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform solutions.
  • Experience supporting GCC High, CMMC, NIST 800-171, or other regulated environments.
  • Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate.
  • Microsoft 365 Administrator certification.
  • Security+, CISSP, or other relevant security certifications.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of identity and access management principles and security best practices.
  • Working knowledge of cloud identity, authentication, authorization, and governance technologies.
  • Ability to design, implement, and support automation and workflow solutions.
  • Strong technical documentation and process development skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong customer service focus and ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.

Essential Elements (Mental; Physical; Equipment used):

This position is an office position that requires remaining in a stationary position for multiple hours throughout the workday.

This position requires the ability to continuously communicate with co-workers throughout the day utilizing Red River approved and/or provided communication tools and equipment.

Special Requirements:
This candidate will operate remotely, with travel for training or visits to Red River offices or data center locations as business needs require.
