Job Description

  • Position will be working in the Mainframe Platform Support Group.
  • Candidate must have Mainframe Application Support Experience.
  • Client is seeking three identical Senior Specialty Systems Operations Engineers to join a Mainframe Production Support Team supporting critical applications in a highly specialized, non-standard environment.
  • This role requires strong hands-on Mainframe Application Support Experience and the ability to work in a follow-the-sun model alongside offshore team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 2/3 Production Support for Automated Credit, Rewards, and Credit Card Hub Applications.
  • Monitor production systems and ensure system stability and uptime.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot failed Mainframe Jobs (JCL).
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis and support ad hoc job executions.
  • Partner with Production Control to restart and recover failed jobs.
  • Respond to business user requests and application team needs.
  • Maintain and update incident tracking (ServiceNow, JIRA, Confluence).
  • Monitor and respond to application group mailboxes.
  • Document incidents, resolutions, and create JIRA Stories for follow-up.

  • Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that meet deliverables.
