Position Summary

The Senior Network Security Engineer is responsible for coordinating security planning with the IT Security team, IT Infrastructure Operations, and IT Service desk on enhancing and furthering the security of the network from all vantage points. This associate will need wide knowledge on all facets of IT's roles for the institution and close teamwork with all parties.This associate will also provide the leading plan for edge security, along with transport and coordinating with the lead network architect on network design and growth for a scalable, secure design. An ability to easily adapt to ever changing technology and security requirements and needs from the business is also essential.Duties & Responsibilities
  • Lead planning on secure network design in coordination with IT Security, IT Infrastructure Operations, and IT Service Desk.
  • Coordinate response of identified risks and vulnerabilities with the proper business leads.
  • Coordinate responses to external audits and risk assessments
  • Design, support, and oversee NAC software, firewall and VPN configurations and deployments, and IDS/IPS configuration and maintenance.
Education & Experience
Knowledge of:
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to:
  • Plan and execute repair plans and/or designs under intense situations
  • Work with technical and non-technical business owners to achieve results in alignment with strategic priorities - most importantly being able to explain technical requirements and issues in an easily understood manner.
  • Wide understanding of vendor agnostic firewall, VPN, and NAC platforms
Education and Training:
  • 3 years of related network security related experience
  • CCNP Security required
  • CISSP strongly preferred
  • CCNP Enterprise preferred

Salary offered is based on factors, including but not limited to, the job duties, required qualifications and relevant experience, and local market trends. The role may be eligible for bonus or incentives based on company and individual performance.

(Base Pay Range: $97,000-$140,000/year)
