Job description

Position Summary The Azure Architect is responsible for designing, leading, and delivering secure, scalable, and high-performing enterprise cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure. This role partners with business and technical stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into robust cloud architectures, guiding migration, modernization, and governance initiatives while ensuring alignment with industry best practices and organizational standards. The Azure Architect serves as a trusted advisor to clients and internal teams, driving innovation, operational excellence, and long-term cloud strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design end-to-end Azure cloud architectures across infrastructure, networking, identity, security, and application services
  • Translate business and technical requirements into scalable, cost-effective cloud solutions
  • Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives, including application refactoring and data transformation
  • Architect hybrid and multi-cloud solutions where required
  • Define governance, compliance, and security frameworks for Azure environments
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code using Bicep, ARM, or Terraform
  • Guide CI/CD pipeline design and DevOps best practices
  • Conduct architecture reviews and recommend performance, reliability, and cost optimizations
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with enterprise standards and long-term strategy
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in cloud architecture or enterprise solutions architecture
  • Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), including VMs, AKS, App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, and Cosmos DB
  • Strong knowledge of Azure AD, identity and access management, networking, and hybrid cloud design
  • Experience leading cloud migration and modernization initiatives
  • Proficiency in DevOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (Bicep, ARM, Terraform)
  • Strong understanding of Azure security, governance, and compliance best practices
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Azure certifications preferred (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Security Engineer Associate)
